Request for CT Imaging Data - TCGA-UCEC (PanCancer Atlas)

Dear cBioPortal Help Desk,

I am writing to inquire about obtaining CT imaging data for the Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma (TCGA, PanCancer Atlas) project. My research requires access to the CT scans associated with the patients/samples available for this study, specifically the approximately 529 CT scan files listed on cBioPortal (e.g., as patient resources)..

I would appreciate it if you could provide guidance on the correct and most efficient method to access and download these specific CT imaging files. Could you please clarify:

1. Whether these CT scans are considered "Open Access" or "Controlled Access" data.

2. Any specific instructions or prerequisites for downloading CT scans datasets.

Hi Hoda,

Thanks for reaching out. The CT scans from TCGA are publicly available on the IDC Portal. To download them, you need to first create a manifest file. Instructions on how to do this are available here (Step 1): https://github.com/cBioPortal/datahub/blob/master/docs/tcga_pan_can_atlas/ohif-viewer.md.

There are several options to download the data once you have your manifest file, which are explained here: https://learn.canceridc.dev/data/downloading-data.
