Hi cBio,

I am interested in knowing whether TCGA samples designated 11 (“Solid Tissue Normal”) represent adjacent normal tissue near the tissue.

For example, I have pairs of cancer/normal samples identified as follows:

TCGA-BH-A18P-11A (normal)

TCGA-BH-A18P-01A (breast cancer)

Is it safe to assume that the first one (11) is matched adjacent normal breast tissue while 01 is the breast cancer?

Thanks!
