Dear Staff,

As I know, 95 primary TCGA tumor samples were also analyzed in CPTAC studies.

I am wondering if there is a table showing both the CPTAC-COAD sample IDs and the TCGA-COAD sample IDs for these 95 samples.

Thank you so much for your time on this!
HoJoon

Hi HoJoon,

Just to clarify, the CPTAC-COAD study in cBioPortal refers to the 2019 Cell paper by Vasaikar et al. (https://www.cbioportal.org/study/summary?id=coad_cptac_2019). This is a prospective cohort of 110 newly collected colon cancer patients with no overlap with TCGA.

For the 95 TCGA tumor samples, are you referring to the earlier study by Zhang et al. 2014 (Nature), which was the original CPTAC colorectal proteogenomics paper? That study analyzed existing TCGA specimens from TCGA-COAD (n=64) and TCGA-READ (n=31). We currently do not host the data from that paper in cBioPortal.

Thanks,
Ramya
