I am using docker-compose to create a local cbioportal running on Linux. I need to connect this to ldap. The instructions are to modify portal.properties which I have done then rebuild the WAR file. I cannot find any instructions on how  rebuild the WAR file. What do I type in ? I have tried using docker-compose build but this comes back with using image files.

If you have ever rebuilt the WAR file for cbioportal please can you share the command you typed in Do I do this whist the containers are running ? or bring them down using docker-compose down ? The cbioportal docs do not contain the command to run

Many thanks for your support
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for reaching out!

I am not sure if ldap is still working, because we are not using it on our end nor testing it extensively.

Note that the documentation might be outdated here as well, so it might take a bit of fiddling to get it working. We would appreciate any updates to the documentation if you get it working. Using Docker Compose you wouldn't really have to rebuild the war. Are you trying to use the official cBioPortal image or are you trying to build your own?

Best wishes,
Ino
