Dear cBioPortal,

I am often using information and data from your valuable database. I have downloaded downloadable data on glioma studies in big excel table from your site for my virtual study. However, I also need clinical data and I found it on the site as well, but only when I open window with Clinical data. Actually, info on the sex, age, ethnicicity, ect. are noti n the downladable excel table. Is is possible to download everything in single take, or do I have to fill in the table manually for each sample (patient)?

Thank you very much for your answer and help and I commend cBioPortal database.

Best regards

Yours sincerely

Dear Nives,

I assume you have downloaded the data from the Clinical Data tab? This does indeed not return all clinical data, but this should be possible from the Summary page. Next to the number of selected patients and samples are three buttons. The right button can be used to download the clinical data for all selected samples.

I've tested this with the study acc_tcga, and whereas downloading data from the clinical data tab did not include everything, downloading the data from the summary page includes values such as age and ethnicity.

I  hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please hit reply all, so our continued conversation is captured by the cBioPortal Google groups.

Best,

Tim

Hi Nives,

You can also download data directly from our Data Hub at: https://github.com/cBioPortal/datahub/tree/master/public

All studies are organized by folders, and you can download the data_clinical_patient.txt and data_clinical_sample.txt files for each study.

I hope this is helpful.

Niki.
