Issue Accessing GENIE API With Data Access Token (Redirects to Google Login)

Dear GENIE Support Team,

I am unable to access the GENIE API using my data access token. Every authenticated request is redirected to the login page, rather than returning the expected JSON data.

I generated a new token through the portal, but the behavior remains the same. This suggests that token-based API access may not be enabled for my account or for this GENIE instance.

My Gmail is: leal....@gmail.com 

Could you please confirm whether my account has permission to access the API programmatically?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alessandro,

Thank you for reporting this.  In an attempt to recreate your issue, I’m having a problem downloading a token from the genie cBioPortal.  Something may have broken on the site.  I’ll have an engineer take a closer look.

The GENIE server is still not accepting my token for API access. I tried three different valid tokens that I've downloaded from the portal.

Dear Benjamin,

I could create another Gmail account, also linked to my institution, which allowed me to download a new token.

The new token works. It returns JSON data. See the screenshot attached.

I do see you in our system with two ids with leal.md.phd being the most recent.   Is this the id you used to download a new token?  I’d like to remove the former id.
