TCGA data in cBioPortal

We are a Paris-based law firm and we represent a client (within the pharmaceutical industry) who is interested in using the TCGA data available on your website (https://www.cbioportal.org/), mainly for its R&D purposes, in order to develop new drugs. Our client will not use these data to develop anything that could compete with your databases.

 

According to the FAQ available on your website and related to TCGA data (here), the source of the data is the Broad Firehose :

 

We cannot access to the TGCA Policy available on the Broad Firehose’s website:

 

Can you confirm that TCGA available on cBioPortal website are extracted from Broad Firehose ?

Can you please send us the TCGA Data Usa Policy applicable to the TCGA data available on your website to ensure that our client may lawfully use this data ?

We have two sources of TCGA Data:

1) From the Broad Firehose

2) From the TCGA PanCanAtlas

I am not sure what the best description is of the TCGA data use rules, you will need to do some online searches. Here is one I found:
