Hi cBioPortal,

I am interested in learning the options for hosting cBioPortal locally with our own genomics data – I am admittedly not a bioinformatics specialist to understand the process, but can you please let me know if it is possible and how to get more guidance?

Thanks!

Leylah

Hi Leylah,

Thanks for reaching out! It is indeed possible to set up a local installation of cBioPortal. You can see an overview of all the local installations we know of here (there are probably many more in reality):

For people with web technology experience it should be doable to set up an instance following these instructions:

We provide support through this email list, which is usually enough to get something up and running. For additional support there is also a company called The Hyve who help set up local installations: https://www.thehyve.nl/services/cbioportal

Best wishes,
Ino
