Potential GSoC cBioPortal project

Hi cBioPortal team,

I'm reaching out from NRNB (https://nrnb.org/), as the organization admin for our Google Summer of Code effort. We are in the process of applying as a mentoring organization for GSoC 2026, and a potential contributor contacted us with a project idea for a cBioPortal AI assistant. Would anyone on the cBioPortal team be interested in mentoring this project as part of NRNB GSoC? The contributor, Aashish, has created a proof-of-concept interface that is available here: https://github.com/immortal71/cbioportal-ai-assistant-poc
