Hi,

I hope you are doing well. I encountered an issue while using data from the medulloblastoma studies within pedcbioportal, as I queried all of them, and did not receive the same "This study has overlapping data with another selected study" error message (attached an example to this email) as I received when querying for other conditions. However, after downloading the data and comparing the sample IDs, there is a significant amount of overlap between the studies in terms of the same sample IDs having been used in multiple studies.

When querying for all studies, there were 1409 samples, but only 745 unique sample IDs. In particular, there were 480 duplicate sample IDs between mbl_dkfz_2017 and medullo_pa_01, 84 between mbl_dkfz_2017 and mbl_broad_2012, 76 between mbl_broad_2012 medullo_pa_01, 63 between both mbl_dkfz_2017 and medullo_pa_01 and mbl_icgc, and 37 between both mbl_dkfz_2017 and medullo_pa_01 and mbl_pcgp. I just wanted to report this in case it is a bug or has not been reported before. Thank you for running the service!

Best, Chris
