Hello,

I have R-code for plots (e.g., microbial composition or beta-diversity), and I would like to further analyze them through group comparisons and visualizations in cBioPortal. Is it possible to integrate these visualizations/plots in cBioPortal for microbiome signatures?

Kind regards
Lennart

Hi Lennart,

Integrating a custom visualization into cBioPortal requires editing the frontend code for cBioPortal. The code is all open source and we have made it relatively straightforward to add new visualizations. Any frontend developer, especially those familiar with React and TypeScript will find it a smooth experience. There is a bit of a learning curve for those unfamiliar with these technologies, but most new developers have been able to get up to speed within a week.
