Hi there

Have just started using cbioportal recently. Am very impressed!

I have a question regarding finding the best cancer type match for a cancer unknown primary (CUP) based on the pattern of gene mutations. If I have a CUP with, for example, TP53, TERT, PIK3CA & ERBB2 variants how do I find what cancer types in the pan-cancer data set  have variants in those 4 specific genes?

Hope that you can help.

Kind regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,

This is a feature that was requested earlier: https://github.com/cBioPortal/cbioportal/discussions/9707. Before we implement the AND logic, there is no simple way to do it on the website. One option is to download the data (the "Type of Genetic Alterations Across All Samples" table) in the Download tab and use a spreadsheet to sort and figure out the co-mutated samples. You can then use the "Custom Selection" tool to select these samples and analyze their cancer types, etc.
