Dear Public Support Group for cBioPortal,

I'd like to share some information about the custom driver that the cBioPortal team directed me to.

This started with annotations under Custom Driver in the "Mutations" tab when our institute does not have our own Custom Driver built in cBioPortal. The cBioPortal team showed that for a few studies in cBioPortal.org, custom drivers for variants were provided by investigators and stored in cBioPortal.

To find out which study the custom driver annotation came from, you can click on the sample ID and this opens a new webpage. At the upper right corner of the new webpage, is the study name.

Clicking the study name will open a webpage for the study.

If you're like me, wondering where the custom driver annotation comes from, the above steps will direct you to the information. Hope this helps. 😀

Best regards,
Lihui
