I spoke recently with Doug Cudmore, the Toronto Star Business editor, and he is looking for contributors for a new business history feature for the paper. In his words:
"We’re adding a few features to our section as we build our local [Toronto] focus; one area we’d like to expand (and it’s an area readers really respond to) is business history. We’re looking at running a recurring feature about once a month on the subject, with the only real guideline that it must touch on the GTA in some way. We’d be looking for submissions of about 500 words, at a dollar a word."
If you are interested in contributing, please email Doug directly at dcudmore at
thestar.ca with your ideas.
It sounds like a great opportunity to get academic work out to the public.
