Hello everyone,

 

I’m sending this note to scholars who have recently published work that relates to the history of capitalism. It occurred to me that it might be interesting to attempt a roundtable on the history of capitalism in Canada at the 2016 CHA. Given the development of the history of capitalism as a field of study in the United States in recent years, it might be useful to reflect on whether such a field is in the process of developing in Canada, and the historiographical influences and major research questions that shapes our work and others working within this prospective subfield.

 

Perhaps the Business History Group could sponsor the session?
