Hey  Neighbor,

We’ve got two, that’s right two, great ways for you to help shape your Jewish young adult community in the South Bay and Peninsula. The first you don’t even have to leave your computer for, just take a few minutes to fill out the survey of Jewish young adult life on the Peninsula and South Bay.  The results of this survey will help a task force (that I’m on) of community leaders determine future programming and services for young adult life south of SF. So, please do me a favor and take the survey now!

The second way will see more immediate results. Come to the Jews’ Next Dor Volunteers meeting at my home Wednesday (Tomorrow) to help make group decision and plan events for the coming months. Can’t make the event, send us an e-mail with things you like to help with, questions you have, events you’d like to attend. And we always love your feedback on events.

Our hugely anticipated and very requested annual Ice Cream Social and Game Night is finally here. Bring your favorite board game(s) and join us for an evening of fun, friends, and frozen food. It’s also a great chance to contribute to our Holiday Toy Drive.

The 2009 Survey of the Jewish Next Generation of the South Peninsula

Who are the Jews of the next generation?  What are your interests? Your passions?  Your concerns?  Hopes?  Expectations?  What do you want out of your Jewish lives in the South Peninsula?

We want to know, and we’re inviting you to tell us in “The 2009 Survey of the Jewish Next Generation of the South Peninsula.”

No matter how you define yourself as “Jewish” or “Young,” we’d like you to spend a few minutes with our survey, filling it out and telling us what you think, what you feel, what you hope, and what you’d like to see in your community.

To take the survey, please click on this link, or cut-and-paste it into your web-browser.  <http://bit.ly/SouthPen>

If you’ve already filled out the survey, thank you.  And please feel free to circulate this email and the link among your friends.

The survey has been commissioned by the South Peninsula Council of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties.  Dr. Ari Y Kelman and Dr. Tobin Belzer are conducting the survey and are sharing duties as the Principal Investigator.

Participants who complete the survey may enter their name to win a new iPod Nano (with video!) or $50 gift certificates to Amazon.

Your answers will be treated confidentially.  If you choose to enter the drawing, your email will only be used to contact winners.  That means that we will never share your identity or individual answers with anyone.

We’ll be sharing the compiled results of the survey with you as soon as they are ready for distribution. Should you have any comments, write Dr. Kelman or Dr. Belzer directly at ayke...@ucdavis.edu or tbe...@usc.edu

We thank you for your time,

Dr. Ari Y Kelman, UC Davis

Dr. Tobin Belzer, USC
