Friends and Neighbors,

Please join me in welcoming the new Jews’ Next Dor Steering Committee. Each of the 7 members of the committee will be focusing on a different need of the Jews’ Next Dor community.

Bianca M. - Programming
Aleeza A. - Communications
Ella G. - Post Programming
Shelli C. - Volunteer Development
David H. - Community Relations
Levi G. - Long-Term Finance
Ben L. - Short-Term Finance

We can’t do it alone and depend on your help, support, and participation. Are you willing to be on a committee in any of these areas? Do you have feedback to share? Need someone to listen? Want to volunteer? Have an event idea? Your Steering Committee is here for you: we’re always willing to listen, and would love your help in making the coming months of Jews’ Next Dor the best they can be. You can contact us directly or at JewsN...@beth-david.org.

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers who performed in and helped with the Talent Show this past weekend.  Thank you as well to all those who have been organizing, helping with, and hosting all of our many events.

This weekend we’ve got two great ways for you to experience and connect with Shabbat. The first is our beloved Potluck Shabbat on Friday night where we’ll be celebrating European Pi Day (22/7). Please RSVP on Facebook or to JewsN...@beth-david.org, to be sure you get the address for our 7pm dinner in Foster City. And mark your calendars now for Jews’ Next Dor Shabbat dinners on every 4th Friday of the month. The second awesome Shabbat experience is at Congregation Beth David, where our own, very talented Ben L. will be chanting lots of Torah for the congregation. Look for our Kiddish Klub of young adults sitting in the back row. Services begin at 9:30am, with Torah reading beginning around 10:20am. Come at any time, and stay to join us for lunch.

Don’t delay, get your ticket today to join Jews’ Next Dor and 8 other South Bay/Peninsula young adult groups as we enjoy America’s favorite pasttime and the World Champion San Francisco Giants on August 2nd. Tickets are $24 each and include a Jewish- and Giants-themed souvenir.

You can also RSVP for the address to join us on Sunday for board games in Sunnyvale [http://wp.me/p3HcM-LB], enjoy the great outdoors as we team up with Yidventure to explore a Northern California treasure at our Point Reyes Beginners Hike on July 31st, and continue to enjoy the summer weather with Stanford Grad and Young Professionals at a special Potluck in the Park on August 5th.  We hope to see you again soon!

On behalf of the Jews’ Next Dor Steering Committee,
Aleeza
