Contract Specialist Furnish all labor, tools, materials and
equipment necessary and perform all work to Replace Roof System on
Building No. 104 at the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York in
accordance with drawings and specifications. Work shall consist of:
removal of existing flat and pitched roofing systems including
ballast, membrane, insulation, shingles, felt underlayment, plywood
decking and other materials described in specifications and
drawings (ie: flashing, roof ventilators, lightening protection
etc.). New work shall include: installation of structural steel,
roof framing, masonry, corrugated decking, plywood sheathing, roof
and deck insulation, sprayed-on fireproofing, underlayment,
shingles, membrane roofing, flashing, expansion joints. Roof
drains, curbs, ventilators, ductwork, lightening protection and
access hatches are also included in the new roof system.
Approximate square footage of the proposed new roof system is
42,000 sf. Contemplated issue date is June 28, 1996 with an
approximate opening date of July 30, 1996. The cost range is
$500,000 to $1,000,000. Work shall be accomplished within 400
calendar days after the notice to proceed. A refundable bid deposit
of $100.00 per each set of specifications and drawings is required.
Bid packages may be obtained from Chief, A&MMS (90C), VA Medical
Center, Bldg. 41 - Argonne Avenue, Bath, New York 14810. All bids
will have a 120 calendar day acceptance period. (0164)
