Ballay, Contracting Officer, ACT-131 (609)485-6288. The FAA
Technical Center intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with
Overland Data, Inc. of San Diego, CA, for IBM 3480 compatible tape
drive units for the DARC Enroute System. The units must be
available in both PERTEC format interface and SCSI format
interface, and must have interchangeable drive parts to ensure long
term FAA repair support. Any inquiries should be directed in
writing (via fax to 485-4088) within 15 days from the publication
of this synopsis. It is noted that authority has not yet been given
to proceed with this acquisition, however such authority is
anticipated in the near furture. (0067)
