I called up croydon high, need to again call Kerry the manager to check for next week Sat or Sunday. 

Booking the whole hall requires the managers permission, for the cricket indoor bookings.

I will call again tomorrow.

For those interested in Football.

Loyds Park there is a group that plays football Monday, Wed & Friday from 6:30 PM onwards. I do go for the same .. Wed and fri are confimed Mondays we play if we have good nos.

Its quite fun, for those wanting to join in after office hrs. at Loyds park.

Hi,

First of all, everyone needs to respond mentioning their availability
before something can be arranged. Secondly, the whole idea of
practising indoors surfaced when it started raining just before we
were all set to go to Llyod park a few weeks back.

I'm ok to play indoors as well as outdoors. Others please respond.

getting indoor court at croydon high is not so easy...as need to book all court for multiple hours.

So only option is Lloyd park but that depends on weather....like now the CT final is delayed

Does anyone has access to any other leisure center other than croydon high ?

We did have a cricket practice session at Lloyd's park this afternoon.
However, only 6 of us were present today. Although we enjoyed playing
in bright sunshine, considering the lack of enough number of participants, I'm very sadly having to say that we are not in a position to put forward a team for the Harrow league scheduled for 14th July.
Please share your views on this.

The Community League will start at 1pm at Shepherds Bush Cricket Club this Sunday, the 14th July. We should plan to reach by 12 noon. There is no specific dress code.

As most of the family members have preferred to stay away from the heat, we'll go by public transport.

It'll be good for the players as they can avoid driving after a very strenuous day.

Going by public transport is fine.

AS we are all Bengali and culturally influenced by Bengali Clock I think you should fix the train time and tell people to arrive EAst Croydon station at least 15 minutes before the departure time.

Some us may need a ticket also.

Remember it is Sunday and trains are not frequent and there may Engineering Work.

These things need to be pre-checked.

Otherwise half of the team will play in Croydon Lloyds Park.

We need to take Overground from Clapham Junction & then Central from Shepherds Bush to reach East Acton. Services will be running normal on this route this Sunday.
We'll take 11:30 AM train from East Croydon to Clapham Junction.
I do believe all of us are excited enough to be there on time irrespective of our
natural alignment with Bengali clock... :)

If anyone needs to buy ticket, please do it before hand.

I have just checked TFL site, it takes minimum 50 minutes to reach Acton Town from East Croydon and planned engineering work taking place.

I do not think we can reach acton town by 12:00 clock if we take East Croydon at 11:30AM.

I was using the bat as a walking stick to return home yesterday. Today, I can't lift my right arm and my hamstring is sore as well.

Nevertheless, It was an enjoyable day ( except for the 3 run wide ball rule that had put me off ). 

Is this a new beginning of "CBC-Sports" :) ?  Let's carry on this momentum.
