We would like to thank you for your enthusiastic participation in our Saraswati Puja celebrations every year.

We are adding a new event to our calendar -- Mahalaya -- on Saturday 5th October, 2013, to celebrate Sharodotsav (Autumn festivities) and usher in the mood for the crowning festival of Bengalis, Durga Puja.

CBC will be organising an evening of cultural extravaganza with music, dance and children's programmes to celebrate the spirit of Mahalaya. In our own way, we shall endeavour to invite Ma Durga to descend to Earth -- "Jago Tumi Jago".

It is also an opportunity for our children to showcase their talent and gain proximity to the Bengali language and culture by participating in the various events planned by our Cultural Team.

The events of the evening will be as follows :-

Mahalaya Programme (Cultural events followed by dinner)

Date - Sat. 5th Oct. 2013 

Time - 6 to 10pm

We need  your children's participation for the following events :

- Fancy Dress [ boys and girls, age group 4 to 16 Yrs ]

- Bengali Song [ boys and girls, age group 5 to 8 Yrs ]

- Group Dance Kids  [ girls, age group 5 to 8 Yrs ] 

- Group Dance  Juniors [ girls, age group 9 to 12 Yrs ]

- Bengali Rhymes [ boys, age group 4 to 8 Yrs ]

Please send in the names of interested participants by 31st Jul, 2013 over email at in...@cbc-london.org

 

We will be sending details regarding the venue and updates on the preparations nearer to the time.
