Sarada,
We are finalising the poster and the email shots of the 2nd HMF.
Can you please forward me the logo of your organisation to be included in the Poster and a sentence of what your kids are going to do in the event, to be included in the email shot?
Also, once the poster is out, we would expect you to promote the event in your circles.
We will send you, your quota of 20 tickets by post- if you need more, please indicate that and we will send them out, together.
Regards
Anirban

Sarada,
In the LSU AGM held this Saturday, we have decided to organise two events before the Durga Puja-
- 2nd Harrow Music Festival on 12th May at the Zoroastrian Centre, Harrow and
- 4th LSU Cricket Day for the XXX Trophy (where XXX is a sponsor, whose name we cannot disclose right now) at the Shepherds' Bush Cricket Club, Acton, Ealing
As per earlier years, we are trying to reach out to other friendly Organisations, to come and get involved in these events. Indeed, London Kalibari is one of our partners for the event- this year, CBC and an Organisation from Reading are participating
HMF
- Arjit Chalraborty, an upcoming musical talent from Bengal will be the star attraction- you may listen to him on Facebookj
- We will have Nahid Nazia from Bangladesh
- The Habey Banned which performed at your Saraswati Puja and
- Kids performances from Croydon Bengali Connection, LSU, Indian Cultural Assocaition, led by Sharmila Banerjee of Reading
Opportunity for CBC
- You are one of the associate deliverers of this event- it will be called LSU presents 2nd Harrow Music Festival, brought to you in association with LKB, CBC, Prabashi Bangali Utsav etc (LSU is underwriting the eent this year)
- There is no financial obligation on your part, but would have a commitment to sell 20 tickets at £5 each- the normal price of the tickets is £10- if you sell anything more than 20 (or 10 full price tickets), we can share the revenue 50-50. So for a £10 ticket, you get £5 and LSU gets £5. Only 20 tickets will be given at half price- the rest will be full price, unless they are CBC Members.
- Only the kids who are performing, will be exempted from buying tickets- however, given the stage size, we cannot accomodate more than 8 kids- everybody else need a valid ticket for entry- kids tickets cost £5 each
- If we are able to come up with a Brochure for the event, we will allocate 2 Pages to CBC to talk about your last year's events and the upcoming ones- it depends whethere we are able to generate enough sponsorship- but we have generated this kind of Joint Brochure, under the name of Prabashi Bangali Utsav, during the 1st HMF and last year's Durga and Kali Puja- you were also part of that intitiative and it was free of cost to you
LSU Cricket Day on 14th July
- We have been doing this event for the last 4 years with increasing popularity- this year, we are in discussion with a lead sponsor to christen a trophy with their name and start a Corporate Cricket Torunament and family fun day with several fun activities, children and ladies cricket and a food festival
- The entry fee will nominal- £2 for visitors and £100 for the Corporate Cricket Team- participation in any event once you have gained entry, is free and there will be lots of prizes to be won
- You can even have CBCTeam for Cricket- we will have a max of 9 teams- LSU, Bank of Baroda and India Bulls are already confirmed- IBM, HCL Axon, TCS, CII and Cognizant have shown interest- so it is indeed looking very encouraging
- You can take up stalls at the Food Festival also - it will just be £10 per stall, aimed more to encourage participation than any proft making- you retain whatever revenue you generate out of the sale proceeds from the Stalls- being an open field with a Clubhouse, there are many stalls you can put- there are however limitations for heating arrangements and we need to talk if you are keen
- Again, we can call it LSU Cricket Day for the XXX Trophy brought to you in association with LKB, CBC etc, if you are interested
- We are expecting a good media coverage for this- so we can use this platform to launch the Durga Puja (Saraswati Puja in your case), as we have done in earlier years
Happy to discuss with you for any clarification.
Regards
Anirban
