Friends,

We would like to thank you for your enthusiastic participation in our Saraswati Puja every year.

We are adding a new event to our calendar “ mahalaya” 5th Oct. Sat, 2013, to celebrate Autumn and get us in the mood for the mother of all festivals for Bengalis the Durga Puja.

CBC will be organising a cultural evening with dance drama, childrens programs, music to celebrate the spirit of Mahalaya. In our own way invite mother goddess to descend on earth - "Jago Tumi Jago".

Its also an opportunity for our kids to showcase their talent, learn and come closer to the Bengali culture by participating in the various events planned by our Cultural team.

The events of the evening will be as follows:-

Mahalaya Program - Date - Sat. 5th Oct. 2013/ Time - 6 to 10pm

Cultural Program followed by Dinner.

We need  your children's participation for the following events :

- Fancy Dress [ Boys and Girls Ages 4 to 16 Yrs ]

- Bengali Song [ Boys and Girls Age 5 to 8 Yrs ]

- Group Dance Kids  [ Girls Age 5 to 8 Yrs ]

- Group Dance  Juniors [ Girls Age 9 to 12 Yrs ]

- Bengali Rhymes (Choda) [ Boys Age 4 to 8 Yrs ]

Pl. send the names of the Interested participants by 31st Jul, 2013 by sending us an email at in...@cbc-london.org

 

We will be sending details regarding the venue and updates on the preparation as we get close to the event.

c. Cultural participation required for :

5. Email draft to be prepared by Prantik and Arun. It will be sent to the wider group by 22 Jul 2013.

6. Dinner arrangements during the venue - TBD

7. Participation guidelines to be sent out to interested participants in a follow-up email (only to the participants). Follow-up email to cover :

a. All rehearsals will be within Croydon

b. All the Rehearsals are compulsory for all participants

c. parents are requested to drop and pick-up the kids to the rehearsal venue

b. participants have to bear the cost of the costumes arranged by CBC

8 . All communication to participants for arranging cultural programmes (i.e. rehearsals, etc.),  to be sent out from eve...@cbc-london.org. No personal email ids will be used. The access details for this email account will be shared with the cultural team (Baishakhi, Ishita, Sarada, Sayantanee, Soma)

Please let us know if we have missed out anything or if something has been captured incorrectly.

Thanks for confirming your availability for the meeting. As tomorrow the weather is nice we can all meet at Lloyd park. As suggested by few of us there is a slight change in the time we are now meeting at 5:30 pm instead of 4:00pm.
