Dear Sayantani,

I got this email from Baishakhi, I would expect more  CLARITY  AND USING A PROPER COMMUNICATION METHOD for choir programme / decisions. As I also didn't get any email regarding choir so far, it was a surprise to me too. I was under an impression that  Ishita and myself should be copied to any of the decisive emails as eventually we will be taking care of the cultural  programme as a whole. I am more than happy for you to take a lead if you want, but please keep us informed, Otherwise it is difficult for us to answer people's questions. 

Please Sayantani can you respond to this email?    We can have more meetings if you want as I am available this week.

Actually I need to confirm one thing, is Sayantanee is the point of contact  for adult choir? I would like to have more transperancies in communication when it is related to music in CBC. So can I please request you to send a communication to us regarding this to avoid any further misunderstanding.

Thanks for your email Saradadi. Just to clarify, there has been no official communication yet apart from the one which I had shared earlier with everybody that listed the probable songs.  

As conveyed  to  Ishita earlier, the Choir point of contact has not been decided yet.The choir team who are present here are meeting tomorrow at 6 PM at Shelly's place to discuss on that. We will also be deciding on which songs to perform from the list of probable songs which I had shared earlier. ·         After the  Choir Group Meeting, we have shortlisted the following songs for the choir performance for Mahalaya, Please let us know which song / songs you will be interested in by 5^th August the latest.

 

·         We couldn’t find a contact person for the choir as a whole, however we have agreed to have a  coordinator for individual songs. Who will be coordinating the rehearsals, music, and timings etc for THAT PARTICULAR SONG only.

 

·         Once you have expressed / decided your interest for any particular song, please feel free to contact directly the contact person directly / vice versa.

·         Ogo amar Agomoni - whole song to be performed-  I have asked Shelly to coordinate this  song , so that she can arrange the rehearsals etc, If anyone wants to perform this particular song, Shelly will be the contact point.

·         Ayi Giri Nandini - first two paragraphs need to be performed --  Baishakhi will be the contact point for this Song, This song should be performed by everyone. As Baishakhi is away until first week of Sept, it will be a good idea to practice on your own. After Baishakhi is back she can take over the responsibility for  music, rehearsals etc.

1.      Please can I request to the interested members to respond with their choice of songs asap , precisely  by 5^th August so that the coordinators can arrange the rehearsals etc.

2.      I had to decide the names of the contact persons, as there was no other way to coordinate the choir as a whole.

3.       If you don’t agree with the arrangement,  please kindly let me know.

4.      If after 5^th August , you want to convey your opinion, Ishita will look after the overall situation, please contact her as I will not be available on mail / phone etc.

Sarada Di, many thanks for re-launching the protocol that we always have maintained within CBC. Friends (existing and new CBC members), let's adhere to the existing guiding principal for the cultural activities as has already been communicated by Sarada di and Ishita. Since its a social organisation, adherence to the working protocols will always help us maintain a very cohesive and positive environment for all the members considering the very fact that we all are different with our unique talents and sentiments. 

As I understand from the email chain, Ishita and Sarada di are our Mahalaya overall Cultural Coordinators and the two needs to be kept in loop for all the activities that are being performed for the occasion. Anyone having any doubts or issues should liaise with the cultural coordinators who we have assigned the BIG responsibility to streamline the events for the occasion.

Many thanks to all the people who are taking the initiatives for individual programs. Let's have a wonderful positive social environment for everybody to rejoice, relax & celebrate MAHALAYA.

Everybody, please cool down a bit.
I know it is quite hot outside but please do not allow things to blow up to a stage where we cannot control it.
Hope we do not want to repeat our experience last year.
Let us not think of so much of protocol norm etc.
We have enough of them in our day jobs.
Relax! if someone has done something out of over enthusiasm and somebody is feeling hurt, please pick up the phone and short it our over the phone.
Or meet may be at Costa at Whitgift and iron out the differences.
Please do not lengthen e-mail thread.
I am sure all of us are different and differences can easily be shorted over the phone rather than in an e-mail.
