Dear Respected Members & Hon. Office Bearers of Respective Towers in the Apex,

Greetings.

I hope this message finds everyone well. I am writing to discuss the swimming pool repair and it's deck.

I would like to understand what is the situation/details & timeline for the repair of the swimming pool. There are a couple of different approaches being shared amongst us folks who frequent the pool almost daily and we would rather understand what is the real situation.

At the onset (as per one of the thoughts coming across) I would like to share my complete disapproval of setting up a jacuzzi on the pool deck when already there are issues with the cleanliness of the area and the pool itself. For example, it has been over two weeks (soon as the maintainence team/company changed hands) that the pool water is in a deplorable state I have given multiple assurances that the issue will be resolved but it hasn't happened. In addition why spend on a resource like the jacuzzi that has limited to no footfalls through the year and create a mess on the deck of the pool which currently of a sufficient size barring the pool itself.

I shall request a detail understanding of the plans ahead with cost implications, my request comes forward as a fellow owner /member & resident of Tower 5.

Right now we need the pool repair to be done on a war footing as its just getting worse.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Please confirm the receipt of this email.
Thank you.

Yours sincerely,
Zubin Parekh

Thanks, for the revert Jaineel.

Yes I understand "war footing" but some detailed clarity for the plans ahead would be appreciated as it's a large chunk of monies that I believe is to be spent.

Sorry not sure what you are referring to - I am only referring to the swimming pool upgrade which has been due for a long time.

This is regarding the probable change/addition in layout at the pool deck; as indicated in my initial email this is all hearsay hence the request for clarity.

Dear Jaineel & Members of the Apex Committee,

Greetings.

Kindly advise what is the forward stance for the pool as rumor mills again say we are proposing a heated pool which to me and many other avid swimmers is just a waste of time and money.

Yes, repair work can be undertaken but this wasteful money spent, the recurrent cost of maintenance with electricity is simply not correct nor justified for a heating pump for barely 3 months of the year. First lets get people/residents /owners/tenants to use the pool in a cleaner and respectful manner.

Please understand in our temperate climate this is a futile exercise. It's not required.

I am also marking fellow regular swimmers here for this purpose, Mr. Shakeher Kamath (Tower 3), Dr. Danny Laliwala (Tower 2) & Mr. Venke Sharma (Tower 4).

I shall request an update regarding this if not via the Esteemed Apex Committee then through our Respected Tower 5 representatives.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,
Zubin Parekh

Dear Zubin,

Thank you for your continued engagement on this and for looping in fellow residents who use the pool regularly. Their perspective is genuinely valuable.

I want to provide greater clarity, particularly in light of my earlier reply on 28th May.

At the Apex level, a dedicated sub-committee with representation across all 6 towers has done significant groundwork on costing, vendor selection, and timelines.

As far as T5 is concerned, this agenda is scheduled for discussion tomorrow where the subcommittee representative would apprise the mancom of ALL the details and available options including temperature regulation among others. Each line item comes with its own cost, operational implication, and footfall rationale that will be presented for evaluation.  The intent is to put the complete picture with all options for consideration and let the general body decide since it is a decision that involves expenses above the bye law mandated thresholds.

Ofcourse, as a former T5 Mancom member, you are well aware of the governance process for project approvals above the threshold, this will follow exactly that path. However, your specific feedback captioned has been noted and will be part of the data presented. You are, of course, entitled to voice your views at the SGM, and I would encourage you and the fellow swimmers you've copied to do so as well for a healthy discussion

We will share the SGM date and agenda once firmed up and finalized.

Regards,

JAINEEL AGA

Thanks for the update jaineel.
Completely endorse T4 Zubin’s view on this. Temperature control is an unnecessary expense . This should be avoided . Hygiene and maintenance should be our primary focus .

Thanks for the detailed response Jaineel ji. There is an urgent need to get the swimming pool up to decent operational standards throughout the year. Trying to solve for lower footfall during the so-called 'lean period' seems like a first world problem especially when the pool is in bad shape for 9-10 months of the year. In fact, every CB swimmer will attest to the fact that the water quality is way better during this lean season. Maybe something to ponder over?
In the choice between quality and quantity of service, I believe the immediate focus should be on ensuring consistent water quality, maintenance and overall swimming conditions year-round before addressing seasonal utilization concerns.

Shekhar
