At present inn the Clubhouse, we have many Blind spots w.r.t the electricity usage. and its wastage.  Following are my observations & recommendations to reduce our electricity expenses which form the major part of Opex:
  1. Observation:The Badminton court 1 and the squash courts are located below the AM level. When a court is left empty after the previous group plays then there is no monitoring to ensure the next booked slot is utilised by residents. Many a times the AC and lights are left ON for the next slot even though no residents are using the facility. This results in wasteful expense that adds to our overall electricity bills.
It looks good on paper that the security should make regular rounds for inspection and do the needful, but Is it getting done? My observation is a resounding NO. So rather than micromanaging human behaviour, it's best we find a way out.

Recommendation: Currently the electrical switch boards for the above facilities are located on the facility floor. These switch boards must either be shifted entirely, or at least a main switch connection be given for each of these underground facilities needs to be moved to the AM reception. This move should include a CCTV feed that security can monitor from the AM level where they are stationed full-time.

  2. Exactly the same as above for the Viewing Gallery when we decide to locate a facility thre.
  3. Apply the same logic for the tennis court if we have floodlights over there.

I have personally observed this misuse multiple times and I guarantee a significant reduction in consumption if we implement these changes.

@pm.cbtowerfive You provided the electricity consumption details for the badminton room. Does this include the two badminton courts as well as the squash courts?
