Subject: DADS General Bulletin: Caregiving survey

Caregiving Survey and Information
The following is a DADS bulletin that is being circulated around.  DADS and HHSC are conducting surveys of LTSS caregivers to assess knowledge, access, and utilization of respite services.  Please either participate in these surveys or at least pass this along to make sure that DADS and HHSC can collect fairly accurate data.

DADS General Bulletin
Caregiving survey

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission and Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services are conducting an anonymous survey of caregivers to assess their knowledge of respite services, access to respite, use of services and gaps in need related to caregiving and respite care. Please share the link to this survey with individual caregivers, organizational publications, email blasts, or any other resources to help distribute it as widely as possible. The more caregivers who take the survey, the better the results.

Do you take care of a family member or friend who needs assistance? If so, we'd love to ask you a few questions!

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking community input from people who help take care of a family member or friend. Your input will help HHSC find ways to better serve caregivers and their families.

New Gov Delivery category

In addition, the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services has established a new Gov Delivery category called "Caregiving." This will contain information, updates, resources and other materials pertaining to caregivers and respite care. If you want to subscribe to information about caregiving, click here.
