Basic issue need to be addressed of Dombivali- Some analysis and suggestions

Dear SIr,

Greetings!!

i'm regular traveler from SHilphata-to dombivali and to Dadar.

DOmbivali has huge crowd comparing to other stations of Mumbai, 
reasons are..
  • kalyan dombivali have surrounding villages and rural areas which are under huge develoment- that pulls huge crowd to dombivali station.
  • long distance local get vacated to thane but dombivali people goes beyond thane so they keep hanging being no place and expecting to get in by thane. that turns death point as they pass through tunnel.
  • solution can be- half of the crowd will reduce if we Start/use existing double line of PANVEL- Kalamboli-taloja- NILJE- DIVA-THANE.
  • this line is not being used for local but only heavy trains and so is underutilized.
  • this line will reduce major crowd to dombivali so hanging to the doors will be out.
  • develoment in kalyan shil road has increased min 10000 new families with possession in year and its increasing every year... but only way to go out is dombivali.

  • another suggestion is very important as well, at workplace we are not provided with time slots to choose like 9.30 to 10 or 10 to 10.30 and accordingly complete work hours.  so we have hanging sword to reach exact dot else its half day.
  • unfortunately this is the problem with management they don't understand the issues--- they know but never seen that suffering.
  • so always the reactions come like, i don't care you manage your travel.
  • another point is- long travelers block the doors and also inside the train those who are seating are playing cards and they dont allow to get in.... being in group they do dadagiri. card players are old age most of them, but have no understanding and they block with bag in between to keep the cards... so crowd gets suffered.
immediate solution is to reduce the crowd by starting this existing line of Nilje-diva-thane to cst so it will get some relief and buy some time to work/address main line issues.

hope this mail will be addressed and solution whould be tried to incorporate.

Dear Sir,

Apart from this we can also start train from (Central and Trans Harbour) Kalyan/Dombivali - Thane-Panvel via Nerul and Nerul/Panvel-Thane-Dombivali/Kalyan. This will also reduce the traveller traffic at Thane station to some extent.

Right now all residents who are staying at Dombivali Kalyan Badlapur area have to get down at Thane and catch train at Thane  which are overcrowded and result in accidents.

Hope you will consider above options in order to reduce ongoing accidents.

Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for creating such platform from where we can reach to the Government.
Traveling from Dombivali to central Mumbai is major concern due to accidents. But people dont 
have choice so that they opt this. 
Some suggestion which might be helpful

1. Some trains can be schedule from Dombivali to Dadar (direct with no halt, this will divide crowd)
2. To increase no. of trains from Dombivali
3. Can we think double decker trains for long distance (i guess this option is easiest and can be done immediately)
4. Seating arrangement like metro, and connecting all the coaches except ladies and 1st class
5. Increase of train halting time so that people will get time to accommodate and this increase 
time can be utilized to increase no. frequencies.
6. Return trains can be possible from many station which have 4 platforms eg. Matunga, Sion etc
7. Stations after kurla has 6 lane which are utilized for only mails till Thane, we can use these lanes for return trains from that perticular stations ( eg. Vikhroli platform no 4, if break the sidewall of platform no 4 and increase width of platform then that can be used for locals also)
8. Elevator on some station are not that useful as width of elevators is very small compared to general steps which causes rush in peak hours, sometimes it results in stopping of it.

Hope Govt values life of citizens and will take necessary action as earliest. Citizen should able to see the difference with this and prior Govt.
