IMPORTANT-Facebook Changes

Hi all-

We wanted to reach out and inform you that we are working on switching our Carrie Busey Facebook group from a public page to a private group.  Over the years Facebook has changed its parameters of how groups like ours need to/can best set up spaces for specific target audiences and we have done our best to follow their practices.  However, we discovered that our current Facebook group is a public group and that there is no way to change the group to private or to post private events.

As you can imagine posting our Carrie Busey specific events to a public FB page is not ideal, so we are making the switch to utilizing a private FB group for future communications.  What does the switch over look like? 

1. Many of you will get an invite asking you to join the group. While all of our communications posted on our FB group go out in multiple other communication modalities, if you would like to stay connected on FB you will need to join that group.

2. You will need to answer some basic questions so that we can confirm that you are indeed a CB parent.

3. We will need you to invite your friends who are also Carrie Busey parents. With private groups the admins can only invite people who are on their own friends list.  Therefore, we will rely on all of you to continue to help us push the word out to other parents by inviting them once you have joined.

4. Information regarding this change will also be sent out on our existing FB page.  We will leave the old page up for 1 month while people are directed to our new private group, then we will remove the old page to prevent confusion.  

*Note: Please be patient with the transition.  We will do our best to get people added quickly.
