Evelyn and Chris,
My name is Kim Ruth and I live on Winery Court in Cabin Branch. Your
message was forwarded to me by Monica Madison -- probably because we
have, unfortunately, been a victim of one of these pranks. We had a
park bench (valued at about $120) stolen from our yard. This happened
about 3 months ago, I believe. It was situated up by the mailbox in a
garden area so that parents could sit and watch their children play in
the court.
From speaking with our neighbor Bruce Schmale, he has had 2 incidents
occur -- one with a trash can lid of soapy water on his porch when the
door bell was run and no one was there. The other incident escapes me
but I do know there was something.
Also, there has been the street sign taken down on more than one occasion.
About 6 months ago, I spoke with a police officer and informed him
that I was aware that teenagers were gathering and partying back on
the unoccupied streets and asked that they patrol that area more
often. I doubt that happened.
I have also observed a couple more things -- that caught my
attention... on more than one occasion, we have had cars with
teenagers drive in to the court, circle and go back out slowly... and
some times they sit at the stop sign for an unusual amount of time and
then slowly pull out. Another time I have seen a group of about 5-6
young teen boys gathered at the side of the street and then proceeding
to cut through to Crosspoint.
I was unaware of any incidents happening in Covenant Creek but would
like to be included in any and all emails regarding this subject
matter. If I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate
to contact me. My cell phone is
202-431-4341 and please use my email
address at work as I check that more frequently.
kr...@jenner.com
Thank you,
Kim

I think that Brooke is the president of the Covenant Creek HOA (or
someone at Kaine Homes is until the HOA is signed over to the
residents). Cabin Branch doesn't have an HOA, if I remember
correctly.
