Subject: CRIME ALERT

Dear Neighbors,
The ugly head of crime has again reached out and touched Covenant Creek.
My old black FORD truck was stolen from my driveway this morning at
approx. 4:45 A.M.
I know many of us leave our vehicles in the drive . It may be a good
idea to check sheds, outbuildings and make sure no keys are in the
vehicles.
I reported this to the police and they advised me that there have been
numerous vehicles stolen recently in our area, mostly for joy rides
although few have been recovered. The Sheriff's office was in our area
about 2 a.m. the morning my truck was taken.
This was obviously more than a crime of opportunity, it had to be
researched and held in the "lets steal this later" file.
