Good Morning !

 

Tonight is the second of four consecutive weeks of Country Two Step workshop sessions with Dennis Gerber.!

Over 20 dancers joined the lesson last week!  

The lead / follow balance was good (no one who came for the lesson was without a partner),

Lots of socializing and fun was generated in the warm-up, lesson and post lesson practice. 

But there's room for more dancers, so please consider dropping in tonight!

Music appropriate for Country Two Step dancing is often played at dances with Ballroom or California mix playlists.  However, the opportunities to develop Country Two Step dancing skills in this format are rare.  

Dennis Gerber's Country Two Step sessions were very successful and popular at Caz. 

Don't miss this opportunity to learn, practice and have fun with us!!!

Doors open at 7:00.  Instruction starts at 7:30.  Immediately following the class instruction and is a practice session with several country two step songs, followed by music selections by request.

DaNce           WorKshops

LEARN HOW:  Join us for a series of dance lessons for anyone interested in social dancing, ages 18 years and up. We will focus on one particular dance for the 4 week session.  Workshop lessons are about an hour long and will be taught by qualified instructors. There will be an intermediate move taught at the end of each lesson. After the lesson there is a practice period of about an hour for everyone to practice what they’ve learned. It is not necessary to bring a partner.

             WHEN:              Tuesday Nights   May 7 through May 28

WHERE: Manlius Village Hall -Auditorium

One Arkie Albanese Avenue, Manlius, New York 13104

 TIME:       Lessons start promptly at   7:30pm – 8:30 practice till 9:30 pm

(you should arrive a little early if you need to sign in or register)

 COST:          Village Residents:   $28.00 for a 4 week series

          Non-Village Residents:     $32.00 for a 4 week series

                              Drop-in Fee:    $8.00 for Village Residents

         $10.00 for Non-Village Residents.

SIGN UP: Registration Forms are available at the Manlius Village Website: https://www.manliusvillage.org/FormCenter/Recreation-Forms-5/Dance-Workshop-May-8th-May-28th-2019-Cou-73, print the form, fill it out and mail it in with your payment to the Village of Manlius, before May 3rd OR

You can register and pay for the series at the door on the first night of the series.

OR

STOP IN:  You can walk-in for a lesson and sign in and pay the drop-in fee at the start of the lesson.

(the lessons will be progressive, so if you are new to dance we recommend that you drop-in for the first lesson of the series and not the last)

BRING:  -Clean dry shoes to dance in. Leather or suede soles are best so that your feet can glide across the floor

-Something to drink to stay hydrated. It might get hot.
