The Cayuga Inlet is again open to boat traffic after application of herbicide as part of the hydrilla eradication efforts. Allied Biological was able to finish application of endothall (trade name Aquathol) at approximately 6:30 pm Tuesday night.

The 24 hr swimming restriction in the area where herbicide was applied will be in place until 6:30 pm tonight (7/30).   There is no swimming restriction in the lake, which is outside of the treatment area.

Visit StopHydrilla.org for more details on the eradication efforts and to view post-herbicide water monitoring results as they are available.
