Fall Creek will be closed to boating and water-based recreation on Thurs. 7/17 starting at 8:00 a.m. for a minimum of 24 hours. The closure is necessary in order to treat with the herbicide endothall as part of the hydrilla eradication effort. If all goes well (such as no mechanical problems, and cooperative weather conditions) it will re-open Friday 7/18 at 8:00 a.m. The closure includes the pond at Stewart Park.
If you have any questions about the close or want to confirm that Fall Creek has re-opened, contact James Balyzsak, Hydrilla Program manager at stophydrilla.@gmail.com
Closure of the Cayuga Inlet will not be until the week of July 28, also for endothall treatment for one or two days only.
