It is going to be HOT this week.  High temperatures bring the risk for Heat-Related Illness, such as Heat Stroke and Heat Exhaustion.  This resource (English) from the CDC provides a good overview of what to look for and what to do if someone is experiencing symptoms of Heat-Related illness.  This resource (English) also gives a good overview of heat related illness.

There is a lot of great information about Extreme Heat at the following website: https://www.ready.gov/heat.  The information is available in Spanish, Arabic, French, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese

Ready.gov has some social media graphics (English and Spanish) at this web page: https://www.ready.gov/collection/extreme-heat

The National Weather Service also has social media graphics in a few languages:

English

Spanish

Chinese

Vietnamese

Below is a list of local cooling shelters, especially for those who are unhoused and need a place to escape the heat.

You can call 211 to find shelter and other resources.

Stay Cool and Safe!

Brian
