Food Bank launches emergency food drive
More than 1.4 million Michiganders are facing delays in their November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. To meet the needs at community pantries, we are kicking off a 40-county food drive.
The Bridge the SNAP Gap campaign calls on neighbors, businesses, and community organizations to come together with gifts of food and funds from Nov.3-21.
Our goal is to collect as much food as possible and get it on pantry shelves!
How to help
Donate food to local community pantries and at regional collection sites.
What items are needed? High-protein and high-nutrient items like peanut butter, canned meats, canned entrees, and beans are the most appreciated. See our full list of most-needed items.
Where can I give?
Community Drop-Off Event: Saturday, Nov. 8, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at three drop-off locations: Kentwood warehouse at 3070 Shaffer Ave SE; our Cadillac warehouse at 101 Clay Drive, and our Benton Harbor warehouse at 1488 E. Empire Ave.
Your local pantry: Our community partners stand ready to accept donations. To find the partners near you, enter your location in our Find Food tool for a list of nearby agencies. Please contact them to confirm hours of operation.
At your workplace, neighborhood, or school through a food drive: Please use this info sheet to help you get started.

The challenges are great, but our community is greater!
Thank you for joining us to meet this crisis.
