2026 UN Water Conference

Open Call for in-person Side Events in the UN accredited zone of the Conference venue

The 2026 United Nations Water Conference, co-hosted by the Republic of Senegal and the United Arab Emirates, will be held from 8-10 December 2026 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), United Arab Emirates.
The Conference’s mandate is to accelerate the implementation of SDG 6: Ensuring available and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. It will consider challenges to achieve this goal as well as opportunities and innovative ways to support its implementation and accelerate progress.
In parallel to the official programme, a selected number of high-level side events may be organized by UN Member States, UN entities, Intergovernmental Organizations (IGOs), and all accredited stakeholders.
These side events are designed to offer additional opportunities for duly registered participants to collaborate, share knowledge, and accelerate the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 and the 2030 Agenda in general.

Important!
- Only accredited organizations to the 2026 UN Water Conference can be listed as lead or co-organizers of side events featured in the Conference’s Side Events programme. It's the full responsibility of the lead side event organizer to check the accreditation status of their partners. For more details, check here: https://sdgs.un.org/conferences/water2026/participate.
- Priority for side events in the UN accredited zone of the Conference venue (ADNEC) will be given to those organized by Member States and those organized in partnership by several networks/organizations. Due to the limited space available in the UN accredited zone, all interested parties are strongly encouraged to collaborate with others.
