Siberian exploding holes 'are the key to Bermuda Triangle'

Massive craters — two in Yamal and one on the Taymyr peninsula — were revealed during the summer, leading to urgent analysis by scientists as well as a wave of speculation suggesting the cause was aliens from outer space, meteorites or stray missiles. Now scientists have come up with a coherent explanation for the craters and links it to the notorious Bermuda Triangle phenomenon, where ships and aircraft have disappeared under strange circumstances.

Methane hydrates have been known for quite some time, and were widely speculated to be the cause of Bermuda Triangle disappearances over a decade ago. However it seems much more likely that most disappearances are due to mechanical issues, unpredictable weather, lack of immediate aid/communication, and other typical events that happen in huge bodies of water.

However those sinkholes look incredible and ripe for exploration...
