Bexar Grotto Christmas Party, Dec 7, 2024 at 6 pm

Folks,

The Bexar Grotto Christmas Party is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024 starting at 6 pm until folks leave. Dinner will start around 6:30 PM and we’re asking people to bring a dish/dessert, etc. In addition, we’re asking folks to also donate a can or dry goods for the food bank. The party location is 11310 Whisper Dawn, San Antonio, Texas.

There will also be a white elephant gift exchange starting at 8 pm. If you would like to participate, please bring a gift. Hopefully, Ms. Kayla will be the Co-MC this year. We do ask that gifts be limited to $20 or less. A homemade gift with a caving theme is always appreciated.

We will provide accommodation for those that shouldn’t be driving and even provide breakfast the next morning (but you get to help clean up).

Cavers, caver friends and family are all welcome. Be aware that the parties are noted for laughter, merriment, and holiday cheer as well as sloth, gluttony, buffoonery, and wine soaking. You’ve been warned.

If you would like to help set up the party, we could use the help while Sue's shoulder is healing. Please PM me.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

We’ve just put in landscaping in the front yard. So, please don’t trample the new landscape while I’m trying to get it established. Please use the sidewalks. Please don’t block the neighbor’s driveways.

Party Rules

1^st, no pets as gifts. 

2^nd, If you receive a gift, you must take it home with you. 

3^rd, Children are welcome, but they must be supervised by their parents. 

4th, the hot tub is open but please, no snorkels or fins – masks are okay - bring a towel or not. 

5^th, Bring your own beverage of choice – there will be some community drinks. 

6^th, If you bring a dish, please also take it home. 

7^th, If you see a dish (cooler, etc) that you left from last year, please also take it home. 

8^th, all the furniture stays in the house/yard.

 9^th, No fireworks or firearms (unless they are part of the white elephant exchange) and, 

10^th, STAY OFF THE ROOF.
