Do you love caves, bats, and rugged volcanic landscape? Join the Natural Resources team at El Malpais National Monument as a GS-5 Physical Science Technician summer seasonal. Applications are open now. This position will be an amazing opportunity to experience the lava tubes and remote forests of El Malpais. Fieldwork will focus on environmental monitoring in lava tubes and using acoustic detectors to monitor bats on the surface.  There will also be opportunities for cross-training other aspects of cave management, as well as cave search and rescue. Housing is available. Apply  by December 8. Must be a US Citizen to apply.
