hi,
i'm in the process of building Rev B.
the main pcb is complete...
i'm now trying to get 3V for the LRF, but...
not matter how i turn it the voltage rgeulator does not output 3V
it gives stable higher volt (8, 9, 10)
but when trying to get 3V it is just getting crazy and dropping to 0.
any thoughts?
what are my options?

Thanks,
Ofir.

Hello Ofir,

Thanks to your inquiry, I remembered my Caveatron again. If you or anyone else would like to buy a Caveatron Rev B

in unfinished condition, I am happy to sell mine.

The power supply works and I was able to install the program. Unfortunately, I didn't get any further than a single blue screen. The components are complete, including lidar and housing parts.

Best regards, Ronald

Rev B is has not been supported in several years and components may no longer exist (that's one of the reasons I moved to Rev C to change to components with more availability). However, this LRF should work for Rev B: https://www.ebay.com/itm/314273830602
Basically just look for one that has a 19.2k baud, uses the characters "O" to turn on the laser, and "D" to perform a measurement and is operated on 3 VDC.
