My boat came with two rudders. The "original" rectangular rudder, 2.0m long and rectangular in profile, and the "replacement" which was much larger. The replacement broke in Moreton Bay, so I replaced it with the "original".

However, I have heard that the Laurie Davidson "original" design is shaped like a Spitfire wing, unlike my "original", and I got a couple of photos from the SeaBreeze forum. I can't scale off the photos unless I know the major dimensions, particularly height and width. Can anyone here give me the dimensions?

The later (Adams 10) design rudder is deeper (longer) and has a square profile at the bottom.  It is significantly better providing more "grip" especially when well heeled.  The Association has access to a mold for this which is available for members to use. I think you'll need more than just dimensions.  A rudder maker will need the full 3d mold to make it.  The mold was taken from the rudder on my boat, Quambi, some years ago.
