Cav 30 racing against Cav 28

Hi There,

I'm interested in purchasing a Cav30  and at first glance  it looks like its the same setup as the Cav28, albeit with the addition of the sugar scoop at the bum hence the extra 2 foot. Does this mean that it would not be able to race in the same class as he Cav 28? Does anyone know if there are other differences i.e sail area or setup? I really like the open transom of the 30.

Thanks for the inquiry. It would be great to see you in the fleet but unfortunately the class rules mandate a Cav 28.

I don'I know any more than what you have described about other differences I'm afraid.

Buy a Cav 28 - they are a great boat to race!!
