Hi

I’m well down the path trying to minimise water getting into the boat. It’s all rainwater as when there’s no rain the bilge remains bone dry. After the recent extreme weather event I sponged 6 litres of water out of the bilge. The main culprit appears to be the windows. I have new rubbers waiting to go in as soon as I cut new windows and reset them.

I’m at a loss as how the water gets to the bilge. Some investigation shows water that gets in around windows flows into a channel but can’t work out how that ends up in the bilge. I’m hoping someone in the group has some info that could help.

Thanks

HI Daniel

At a guess, I'd say it runs down the inside of the inner skin or maybe onto the shelves that run down either side then (on the starboard side) flowing down to where the cooker is (was?!), then onto the floor.

You could get someone to point a hose at the windows while you're inside checking up!

Regards
John
