Cause-effect pairs Challenge
********************************************

Indentifying causal relationships is a problem pervasive in natural
sciences, social sciences, and engineering. Much progress has been
made to infer causal relationships from observational data, without
requiring costly, unethical or sometimes impossible experiments. Yet,
causal discovery algorithms are still used only by a small community
of experts. This challenge will be an opportunity for data scientists
to become acquainted with these methods and push the state of the art.
The participants will be given samples of pairs of variables {A, B}
and will be asked to determine with adequate algorithms whether A is a
cause of B.

Tentative launch date: March 1, 2013.

Additional information will be released shortly!
