Hi,

I'm totally new to Cauliflower and can't get it to work.

The server is up and running, the tests passes but when I'm trying to run it on a client it fails.

First of all, it opens up a Safari window on the Mac and ask for my Google Credentials. This shouldn't be necessary, right? I've been looking around everywhere but can't find anything about it..

Then if I login as it want me to do I get an error in the GUI saying "do_open() got an unexpected keyword argument 'context'.

In the system.log I can see the following error:
Unable to create bundle with URL /usr/local/cauliflowervest/cv/bin/python

I'm running the latest version of Cauliflower on Mac OS X 10.11.1.

What am I missing here?

Thanks!

Hi Henrik

I think this is a known issue with a python 2.7.9 urllib2 change that AppEngine SDK's supplied version of fancy_urllib didn't work with.
Make sure you are using a new enough AppEngine SDK.
I downloaded external 1.9.30 and it includes the fix.

I didn't test this, it's just what I found with a quick look and seems right.
If you can, let us know how it goes.

thanks
John

Henrik,

I've synced with John offline, and we recalled that the installed App Engine SDK is irrelevant, as the client uses a portion of the SDK which is bundled in a zip file.

I've updated gae_client.zip (which includes and updated fancy_urllib library, which I believe fixes this issue): https://github.com/google/cauliflowervest/commit/9f3f44159dd71fb2699a1d1b0581ad24c0e744c4

Can you sync to head (git pull) and let me know if problem is resolved?

- Justin
