It installs quite easily into asterisk and after playing around with it a little, I decided I wanted to set it up so that instead of dialing 9 for an external line, I could dial 8 and then the number and the call would be routed through the voice changer.

Hello! This is my first post in this forum and I am also not so familiar with Adobe Audition yet. I hope someone here can help me. I use a MacBook Air and I bought Adobe Audition. With Adobe Audition, as you know, you can change voices. Now I was told that you could even use the program as a live voice changer, similar to other programs like "morphvox" or "Clownfish". These are also compatible with Skype, for example. Unfortunately, I can't get this to work at all. I know how to change the voices but how to use this voice live for Skype calls for example does not work. I even downloaded "Virtual cable" but no matter what settings I use it doesn't work. Does anyone here have experience with this or can tell me if it is really possible? If so, I would be very grateful for further explanations.... Many thanks in advance!:)
As you are discovering, it's a pain to set up, and whilst it's possible to do a limited amount of voice changing, there is a processing delay (latency) involved, and that's unavoidable. In general, the dedicated voice changers are much easier to work with. As for setting it up - VAC is the way to go, but as I said - it's a pain. The only thing I can tell you as far as Audition is concerned is that you'll have to be running in Multitrack, and have the internal monitoring active, otherwise the input won't be fed to the output via the track with the effects on.

Yes there is still much to discover and learn! But a great program. That with the monitoring I have already tried, also different settings regarding the output and input, unfortunately without success. In Skype itself I also have no option then to select Adobe Audition. With other programs like morphvox this is displayed there directly. So Skype just seems to be unable to connect to Audition and vice versa. I still hope for more help or experience!:/
Just installed Voxal Voice Changer and when I tried to do a test there was so much noise and static. I closed the program and tested my Yeti Blue Mic on Windows 10 voice recorder which was working fine right before the install and now it as well as all kinds of noise and static when I record. My first instinct is to uninstall the software. I hope someone can help me, I'd like to keep the software and enjoy it but not at the risk of messing up all my audio recordings.
The first thing I would recommend you do is to make sure you have the latest drivers for your Mic, then uninstall the program and install it again, after installation make sure to restart your PC and hopefully that will fix your issue.
We are sorry to hear that you face this problem. This problem will be fixed with the next release which will be available very soon. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. But rest assured, you can keep the software and update it in the coming weeks.
I replied to your thread. The problem here in this thread is different to your situation, for this problem there was a bug in some voice files in version 3.00 which caused static noise when Voxal was running. If you can answers my questions in your thread, I will do my best to help you.
when I start up my program for the voxal voice changer and I choose my voice I end up getting a lot of static in my ear and also for others hearing me use the voice. This never used to occur until my windows update at the start of 2020, it had occurred a couple times after I first installed the program though, too. I believe there is no problem with my mic as it is high quality. Is there any way to fix problem? I have deleted and reinstalled the program many times and it continues so I don't think that's a solution fit for me.
In the tutorial what they are doing is, they type this line in cmd to make a jar file speak in the voice they are telling (us1) but what i have to do is that, i already have a java program and i want to change the voice it speaks.How to do this?
But I think it can be also run from the NetBeans, go to the Properties of your project, go to Run and paste -Dmbrola.base=/home/jim/mbrola into VM options. You will of course need FreeTTSHelloWorld.jar on the classpath (you can add it through Properties -> Libraries -> Add JAR/Folder).
When you start the application Voice Changer logo icon will appear in Windows traybar. When you right click on this icon main control menu will appear. Double-clicking on icon turns on and off the application. When Hear microphone option is checked you will be able to hear your modified voice. From VST Effects menu you can manage and configure your VST plugins .
Main Voice Changer Window - here you select active voice effect. When enabled the icon gets colored. If you want to stop all effect press Clear effect button. This window is opened from Set Voice Changer option in main menu.
Music Playlist Window - here you can mange and control your background microphone's music. Supported commands - play, stop, pause, resume, next/prev track, volume control.
Adding music source from Internet (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) is possible by installing - required filter.
To use Clownfish as voice changer you have to install it on the capture device you want to modify. By default Clownfish is installed on default audio capture device. If you want to install it on other devices you can do this here. Installing/Removing Clownfish requires Administrative rights. This window is opened from Setup option in main menu.
Q: Why the application does not install on my machine?
A: Make sure you've downloaded correct installation package. 64bit version wont install on 32bit OS and vice versa. Note that you will need administrative rights to make installations.
Q: Application installs correct but the voice is not changed. What can I do?
A: Go to audio settings, recording devices. Right click on microphone ->Properties. If the dialog has an "Enhancements" tab, go to that tab. Make sure the "Disable all enhancements" check box is unchecked, even if you don't use any of the enhancements in the list.If the dialog does not have an "Enhancements" tab, go to the "Advanced" tab. Make sure the "Enable audio enhancements" check box is checked.
There are four different installation modes ( Clownfish's Setup menu ) - try each of them and check if this will help you ( remove device, change mode and install device)

A: Try running Clownfish as Administrator. The other option is to add them manually ( paste sound files in C:\Program Files (x86)\ClownfishVoiceChanger\sounds ) and restart CF.
Q: How can I restore my sound card settings?
A: In general if you uninstall Clownfish the old behaviour should be restored. However if something goes wrong you can reinstall your audio driver software.
Q: Clownfish dialog is transparent. Icons are not accessible. What's wrong?
A: If you experience problems with user interface you can force the application to work in non-colored mode. You have to edit Clownfish's shortcut and add startup parameter -nocolor in Target textbox.
