Dear Cat's Corner Guests,

We hope you all had a great Halloween! We've got a few photos from
last week's dance party to share, including everyone's great orange &
black outfits + our carved pumpkins:

Thanks to Christine Mok & Diane Cheng for the photos!

THIS WEEK'S MUSIC

Johnny Bones & the Palace of Jazz will knock your socks off! Featuring
wah-wah horns, novelty drums, and New Orleans rhythms, Johnny's band
showcases a classy sound that is sweet but full of spice. Recently
featured at this year's SF Lindy Exchange, this top notch band played,
IMHO, some of the hottest dance sets of the exchange. Come hear them
this week at Cat's Corner!

In the DJ Booth: Miss Naomi Perez. Since her Cat's Corner DJ debut, we
are excited to hear that Naomi has been making rounds at other swing
dance venues around town. We're glad to have her back this week!

Christine and I look forward to a brand new month of Beginning Lindy
Hop (6:30pm) and Intermediate Lindy Hop (7:30pm). These weekly, hour-

dancing week by week.

This month's Beginning Class will focus exclusively on 8-count steps

Intermediate Lindy Hoppers will learn classic lindy styling, Airplane
Charleston, Reverse Jerk variations, the Hacksaw & Sailor kicks!

Sign up online by 11:59pm Monday and get the $55 discount price for
the month:

20 students max/class. We recommend signing up soon to save your spot!
Class cost *includes* dance party & 8:30pm drop-in lesson admission.

THANKSGIVING WEEK HEADS-UP

Mark your calendars with a great big X on November 24, when PeeWee
Ellis -- longtime saxophonist & band leader for James Brown & Van
Morrison -- will join the Medicine Ball Band on stage. I remember when
Mr. Ellis sat in with the MBB a few years ago...it was
sensational...not to be missed. There's no work the next day, so plan
to stay out late and party with us!

DROP-IN ANYTIME

With a full bar & restaurant, plus live music *every* Wednesday, Cat's
Corner is one of the hippest places to dance swing in SF, and welcomes
dancers, music lovers & loungers alike. We've got beer on tap, and our
bartenders are always glad to serve you a special cocktail.

If you're new to dancing, make sure to try our 8:30pm Drop-in
Beginning Swing Lesson, where we start from scratch each week, teach
you the basics, and always have a ton of fun.

Beginners welcome. No partner needed. We rotate frequently in
class....so you'll meet lots of friendly people!

See you all soon!

Nathan & Christine
