MUSIC THIS WEDNESDAY

Come dance to and enjoy the Fil Lorenz Orchestra, a star-studded
"little BIG band" that bridges the gap between the classic big bands
of the 1930's and the smaller, lighter groovin' bands of the 1950's.
Band leader and saxophonist Fil Lorenz leads a tight horn ensemble
that packs a bold punch, while also channeling a sweet and classy
sound. Backed by a driving rhythm section on piano/bass/drums, the
band plays classic renditions of our favorite swing dance tunes and is
one of the biggest bands to play at Cats Corner regularly... they're
an absolute delight for dancing!

Alex Fernandez is an ever-popular DJ at local swing dance venues such
as the Rhythm Lounge and 9:20 Special and returns for duty in our DJ
booth this week. It's been awhile since we've heard him at Cats
Corner, so we're looking forward to his two sets and hope you are too!

LEARN TO SWING DANCE AT CATS CORNER

Our 8:30pm Drop-in Swing class welcomes beginners, teaches you the
basic steps of swing, and is always a good time...as well as a fun way
to meet lots of fun people. Christine and Nathan get you ready to
dance each week, right before the band starts. $10 includes the full

IRISH DANCE WORKSHOP WITH GERRY & DARCY - SATURDAY, MARCH 12

How many of you recall Gerry & Darcy the two awesomely friendly Irish
Lindy Hoppers who put on a great show along with Catrine at Cats
Corner on St. Patrick's Day last year? You can jog your memory with

This Saturday, they're joining forces once more to teach a fun-filled
afternoon workshop in Traditional Irish Dancing at Avenue Dance
Studio. You'll get to learn an Irish social dance called The Four Hand
Wheel. Better yet, accomplished fiddler Darcy will provide live music
throughout the workshop!
