5/4: Fil Lorenz Orchestra + LEADERS NEEDED for May Beginning Lindy Hop!

Dear Cats Corner Guests,

The Fil Lorenz Orchestra is BACK at the Corner this week! This star-
studded "little BIG band" bridges the gap between the classic big
bands of the 1930's and the smaller, lighter
groovin' bands of the 1950's. Band leader & saxophonist Fil Lorenz
leads a tight horn ensemble that packs a juicy punch, while also
channeling a sweet and classy sound. Backed by a driving rhythm
section on piano/bass/drums, the band plays classic renditions of our
favorite big band swing dance tunes...a dancer's delight!

Mixing it up in the DJ booth, we welcome Mr. Leo King. An accomplished
jazz and classical guitarist and long-time swing dancer, Leo will
exercise his discerning musical taste this week, as he spins a fine
selection of classic swing tunes, keeping you in the mood to enjoy
dancing and/or a cocktail at the bar!

MAY LINDY HOP CLASSES START THIS WEDNESDAY

(NEEDED: LEADERS for Beginning Lindy Hop and FOLLOWERS for
Intermediate Lindy Hop)

6:30-7:30pm Beginning Lindy Hop ($55 early/$65 full registration, 20
spots)
7:30-8:30pm Intermediate Lindy Hop ($60 early/$70 full registration,
18 spots)
Class costs include 8:30pm Swing class + dance party admission for the
month (a $40 value!)
